Chest: Around fullest part of chest, tape level under arms.
Length: From highest shoulder point (base of collar) straight down to hem.
Shoulder: Seam-to-seam across the back (or, for drop-shoulder styles, point where sleeve seam sits).
Sleeve Length: Shoulder seam to end of cuff.
Cuff Width: Flat width of the ribbed cuff opening, relaxed (not stretched).
Hood Height: From base of neckline (where hood attaches) to the top peak of the hood, laid flat.
Hood Width: Flat width across the hood opening, unstretched.
Regular/Classic fit — standard, set-in sleeve, true to size
Relaxed fit — slightly roomier through body, still set-in sleeve.
Oversized/Drop-shoulder — dropped seam, boxy body, longer sleeve — currently the dominant streetwear trend (usually 340+ GSM).
Cropped — shortened body length, often paired with joggers or high-waist bottoms.
Zip-up tailored — closer fit, common in athletic/performance zip hoodies.
Shrinkage: Cotton fleece/terry can shrink 5–8% after first wash (same as sweatshirts, more than tees/polos due to loop construction).
Drop-shoulder measurement note: for oversized styles, shoulder measurement will read wider than the wearer's actual shoulder.
